How can I stop from downloading porn?

So my brother who is 19 I'm 17 keeps downloading porn on my computer. His computer is being repaired so he is using mine. Now my computer is running so slow since he keeps downloading so much porn. It used to be fine before and fast now it's running so slow. What should I do? Should I just confront him? 

There are many ways to block the porn websites..etc and technology levels increased the security system has been grown same beside it.

You can always put a parental lock on the computer, basically it lets you restrict which websites and programs the users on the computer can use, mean you can set only few websites that he can access. You need to make sure you're a administrator of your computer and you have a user account for your brother, which means limited account or guest account. Firstly Logon to your Administrator account

1.Click on the bottom left-hand corner on start button.
2. Open 'Control Panel' from the sidebar
3.On Windows 7, you should see 'Users and Family safety' on the top right, If you're using a different windows version, search "Family safety" on the search bar and it should come up.
4. Once you're on the Family and safety, it should be simple from there onward.

try any other antivirus program, that also helps to prevent accessing the porn websites.

I don't have access to you tube and other Google services?

I think this is a virus and I want to get rid of it. Help!

What happens when you type the youtube or google website is that showing an error or any other websites being opened or not?

If that got error like "Blocked by Firewall" which means that the some websites are blocked by the your Administrator once contact the him to resolve the problem.

Is malware slowing down internet in my Laptop?

Internet in home is usually always slow, but after getting the router changed yesterday, I noticed my mobile's internet was nearly perfect. However, my laptop is extremely slow to the point where the internet barely works. I used a malware spy and there were much of bugs. I can't find any free malware removers, and I tried to download malware bytes, but my laptop crashed and my laptop won't allow me onto the site.

Actually which router you have got a normal router or a WiFi router? If you got WiFi router you need to assign it a security key if it is open network any one can use your internet connection.

I have ads not by this site coming up. can't get rid of it. is this a virus?

These Ads automatically installs toolbars, hacks home pages and start-up pages of browsers, so you need to aware of before what you are clicking.

Many more software's I have seen but I didn't get rid of these things and so I preferred manual instructions to remove these things. Firstly go to add-ons or plugins or extensions of the browser and remove or delete the unnecessary things so you can avoid unnecessary star up plugins.

Go to Control Panel and check in add/remove programmes there you will find toolbars and small unnecessary programmes installed uninstall them aswell. after check the browser shortcut properties in the file path fields you will find some website is added after the " so you need to delete that too. When you delete this you browser wont open default hacked page.

Better install Ad block plus so this saves the Internet data and our time too. It blocks all the ads that open up by some other websites. But beware of the things when you click on someone sites they automatically installs porn screensaver, ad programmes...etc

Why can't I get a strong Wi-Fi connection in my room?

My room is about 50 feet away from the router, which I don't think is too far. I get weak connections on my laptop and my phone, while some of my friends bring laptops over and get good connection. Is this a problem with my router or my laptop's network adapter? I have a Belkin N450 if that helps.When I mean connection, I mean bars. I usually get 2-3 bars in my rooms while my friends can get 5 bars. And how does an airport work?

It depends on the WIfi card you are using may be your wireless card is not an 'N' based chip that's why the difference.

May the wireless card got problem you may contact service centre for further details. After checking with your friends connection as it seems the problem of your wireless card only. There are about some types of wireless cards like b/g/n.

Once check whether you have installed the correct drivers or any firewall is limiting the access to the wireless networks. If you do not have correct drivers installed once go to official website of you main board manufacture and download them after installing once check with them.

How to set up a wired connection?

I currently have a wireless connection from my desktop computer to my router but I bought a cord so I can have a wired connection. I have no Idea how to establish a wired connection. I am running windows 7. Please help :)

That is so easy to connect a wired connection and just plugin the LAN wire which is from router if you have a dynamic IP address the router will assign the automatic IP to your PC.

If the IP not assigned once check with the router may be it have configured with static IP address and so give the appropriate IP to the system and check with ping if you got reply its working if not configure the IP address correctly.

If the LAN card is not displayed once check with the drivers whether they are installed or not if not installed the Internet cannot be connected so go to device manager and check whether there is any question marks if there some drivers may not be installed .

if the LAN connection from router was getting connected so you need to connect the ISP wire to your LAN port and login with the credentials. If connected you need to configure your router properly and refer Router manual

May be some type of malware or virus if your antivirus found just delete them they are not important system files and you can go ahead without any problem.

If you are using the free version of bit defender it may not delete them beacuse it does not contain all the features so you need to delete them manually.

Open your browsers and go to tools>Internet Options and clear the private data or delete cookies, delete history..etc options are available so you can delete them manually.

If you have Ccleaner, it is a good software where it automatically cleans the system temp files and browesers Internet files so better install Ccleaner it is the best software you can delete the temp files.

Better dont Install the free antivirus softwares, only install the premium version or full version of softwares in which they have all the features

So I'm connected to my WiFi with internet access but I'm also connected to an unidentified network?

I'm worried that I may have installed a virus that cause me to connect to me a system unknowingly, is this true or what's going on here? 

This is not possible to connect to a to two different networks at a time and there is no option in your network card and it might be showing this because of that virus that present in your system.

as you said that installed virus may be your system is infected with virus or trojans or you may have created an another connection or bridge connection is created once check in view all network connections

If your PC is infected then firstly scan with trojan remover and reset the windows policies, Internet policies...etc. and then Install a free antivirus programme, update virus definitions scan the whole computer and while scanning disconnect your PC from the Internet.

Once check how many Ethernet cards are connected to the Internet and through LAN or WIFI and if wifi, lan are connected using Internet to access check which one you are using? then disable the other one.

Google Chrome network error question?

Okay so I downloaded something, it was a .pif file, it just started to download out of nowhere. Seeing that file extension made me believe it was a virus of some sort since it was a link from omegle, but during the download I saw that chrome said "network error" next to the download. 

Did the download go through? Is it on my computer? I'm running a system scan and nothing is being detected but I did some research and found that .pif files don't show on windows or something so I just cant find it and delete it and there was nothing in my downloads folder. I didn't see the name of the file either.

That Pif file was not downloaded successfully, because the network error in the midway, so that was not a virus or trojan file, nothing to get worry.

But some websites are saying that "Invalid file associations could be the result of underlying issues within your Windows PC" so delete that file as soon as possible it reverts the programmes into older versions.

Better have good security software to scan all these things whenever required. If a antivirus is present in your system after downloading the file will get automatically scanned by the computer and where if it is a infected file and we cant access the file and it will be blocked by the antivirus.

but whenever you downloaded any file particularly exe better scan with antivirus and then access or execute it. Mainly virus approaches PC in form of exe files only.

My WiFi won't connect to any mobile devices?

My router and WiFi used to work fine. But one day it just quit connecting to my iPod and other family members in my house couldn't connect on their phone. When I tap it on my iPod, it instantly pop-up "Cannot join network" We called our service provider and said all of our connections were fine, and they even reset them. It still wouldn't connect to my iPod. What is causing this, and how can I fix it?

This is the problem of the WiFi router may be it not connected to your devices and try connecting other devices like smartphone, PC...etc. If not connected same pop-up appears it means that the problem is related to the router only.

Either router may be locked and should enabled the qos service it means that router can connect or give access to the certain devices only where in router settings you need to enter the details of you max address of the device and if you mention these address in the router configuration so it will give access to the Internet that might be one of the problem where your iPod not get connected to the WiFi router.

If you know how to configure router, change the settings or follow the manual of the router. If the problem persists contact the service centre of the Router.

Why does my internet stop working?

Using a laptop, my internet works but it stops even the WIFI is still working its just the laptop I have to restart all the time...

There might be the problem in the WIFI router, here Router works and shows signals correctly but if you try to connect to Internet it can't.

Do one thing you need to hard reset the router, There will be a Reset button on the side of the router and find it and just reset with a Pin. It resets and configure your router once and set WIFI passkey and router login password and try to connect.

If the problem persists, you need to update the firmware of the router and once check whether the service provider providing the firmware for router or not. If you want to configure the router once refer router manual for detailed steps and procedure.

If they didn't provide the router firmware upgrade, once contact the service centre may some problem in the router.

Wifi connected but no internet access? but other devices works?

My WIFI router connects with my laptop and says signal strength is strong but says no internet access. At the same time when router is connected with other system or mobile it works fine. I tried the same starting my laptop in safe mode, same problem. What should be the problem.

May be the problem refers to the laptop, where the WIFI drivers does not have correct drivers installed and once check with the drivers and download the latest drivers from the official website.

There might be limited access to internet users, like router was allowed to connected only 2 devices at a time or router was filtered with connections, check whether you might have given your other device mac address and your mobile mac address. There might be problem with them, if you have filtered like this you need to off the filter and but don't create like Open network.

If you changed the settings to normal and restored defaults settings in the router, if the same problem persists you need to hard reset the router once and if you don't know about that refer the router manual.

One more thing is connect your laptop through LAN, if the internet is connected and if every thing working fine you need to check with the wifi drivers, the drivers are the problem.

Maintain a security key like WPA/WPA2 key, for internet access.

Internet connected but can't access websites?

This happened just a few minutes ago. I have full internet connection but every time I use the internet. "The page cannot be displayed." The internet on my phone works fine. I tried resetting my computer and it didn't work. My wireless mouse stopped working when I reset it as well. I have windows 8. How can I fix it?

You have full internet connection, what does it mean exactly. May be you need to check thoroughly that the status of network icon in bottom right corner is showing the status connected or open my computer and check network connections , see the status.

There are two types of configurations like one is automatically assigning IP address and manual assign of IP address, if you are connected to a router IP address is automatically it assigns the IP address, these configuration are available on router. If you are not aware of them contact your system administrator. If you are connected to a switch or hub you must assign a IP address and DNS servers manually.

If your ISP is directly connected to your LAN, you need to check whether the ISP is providing automatic IP or manual IP. In some companies there are many software's that blocks the connectivity of Internet, you must use the proxy servers to get connected to Internet.

Some ISP's provide login page, dialers and other sort of things to get connected to Internet. If one of these problems may obstruct you getting connected to Internet. Contact your ISP for further details.

Why does my Flash drive contents turns into shortcut?

I tried the full system scan after scanning the flash drive yet there is no threat found but every time I insert any flash drive into my laptop its contents turns into a shortcut....I wonder what could be the problem? I format my flash drive as well but it is still the same....

Internet is running slowly and keep being redirected?

When online, my laptop seems to be running really slowly and I also keep getting redirected to different websites. My antivirus is up to date and no other program's seem to be running. From searching online I came across something called "Malware" but after a scan using "Malware bytes" nothing was found. Any suggestions.

There are many reasons as your page is redirected to different websites. First check for the unnecessary programmes installed in system, Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programmes check the list and remove unnecessary programmes.

Once check your internet speed aswell from speedtest.net, you will come to know that is you ISP providing the Full speed as per you package, If not call them for assistance.

I have forgotten my password for wireless router..help!?

When we moved, everything got misplaced. We could not find our wireless router so we decided to buy a modem. Now we have found the router, we have set it up by ourselves(seems to be working), but we've forgotten the password for it and now we can't use it. How do we reset or change the password?
