Internet is running slowly and keep being redirected?

When online, my laptop seems to be running really slowly and I also keep getting redirected to different websites. My antivirus is up to date and no other program's seem to be running. From searching online I came across something called "Malware" but after a scan using "Malware bytes" nothing was found. Any suggestions.

internet websites redirected to other website

There are many reasons as your page is redirected to different websites. First check for the unnecessary programmes installed in system, Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programmes check the list and remove unnecessary programmes.

If you find any programmes, they might installed automatically in your system. One thing some websites automatically installs the toolbars and unnecessary software's ..etc. If you found any websites block them. Better Install Internet Security software's like Norton, This software includes many features like anti spyware  antivirus, firewall...etc. Install the Trial version of Norton Internet Security, You will come to know the performance of this programme.

If your Internet is slow that means, some downloads are going in background like u torrent or any system updates, browser updates ...etc. Check  them in the task manager list.

After uninstalling the programmes from the control panel, restore your browser settings to default, once restart your computer. Update the browser to latest version. Once check your internet speed aswell from speedtest.net, you will come to know that is you ISP providing the Full speed as per you package, If not call them for assistance.

Norton Internet Security features like when you are going to install any programme, it asks you the permission, you can check the programme details over there, How many users are using this, is it a kind of Malware or spyware...etc.

How can I get rid of these virus ~DFSC6.tmp?

One thing you need to know that that is not a virus, that is a Temp File in which the system runs it's process in a folder called "Temp" which means temporary memory. After completion of the task it removes the file. Some how these types of file are also infected with viruses but in rare cases only.

priform ccleaner
For example if you are installing a programme called C cleaner  If you download this software a .EXE format which means executable, all the files required to run this programme are emerged in executable file. When you double click on that system executes the programme, which ever programmed. Follow the onscreen instructions in which to install the programme and use it.

These temp are large in number, if you install a software or run a programme these Temp files are automatically created in the system temp folder, some may be deleted buy some are not deleted and If these types of files are large in number you need to delete them manually. But you need to know where the folders are located. So many third party softwares are available on net, you can use them to delete temp files.

But in my point of view best software is Ccleaner, which I was using it since 5 years. Awesome performance, easy to clean the entire system, you can customize the data which should be cleaned, Two tabs were given "System Applications", "Internet Applications" and you can fix registry errors with Ccleaner, Take a Backup of registry also.

Ccleaner provides add/remove programmes list aswell. If you want to uninstall any programme you can uninstall them from here. You can check and edit which programmes are running on startup, scheduled taks, Browsers plugins....etc.

Virus or malware infection?

I've used Spybot, Malwarebytes, and other security softwares, still getting popups It's not even show up when I run these programs. What else can I do? Ocassionally a new tab opens to some advertising site, also in the bottom corner of each browser, a bout of pop-ups appear, like "Speed up repair PC and random ads on the other corner".

system infected with malware virus trojans
You have used all the security softwares as they are malware softwares, My suggestion is just uninstall all the security softwares and once go through repair windows by inserting xp bootable CD or which ever OS you are using. Just disconnect from the internet before reparing OS. After repairing go to control panel uninstall the unknown or unused or unnecessary programmes and restart your computer, reset the browsers settings to default. Once reset completed connect your system to the Internet, just download the Norton Internet security trial version or if you can afford buy one. After installing update virus definitions. Disconnect your computer from internet and scan your whole computer, it compulsory detects threats clean them and restart your computer. That's it your system is clean.

Norton Internet Security provides excellent protection by these type of malwares, trojans, viruses...etc. Some programmes are automatically installed by few websites like adware softwares, malwares or toolbars...etc.

Better aware of all these things before browsing an unknown site or a malware site. Have a good browsers like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox. Allow them to Auto update browsers beacuse every update has bug fixes, add on features...etc

Wireless internet slow on my desktop but not my laptop?

I have a custom built gaming pc and a asus u52f note book with a built in wireless adaptor, the pc has a TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter,2.4GHz 450Mbps/5Ghz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n,WEP, WPA/WPA2 built in it, but yet the desktop is way slower and hooking it up with wire isnt an option, I have a pretty fair speed internet connection and great wireless router, what is a possible reason its like this and is there a way to boost the speed of my desktop they both run windows 7

internet connection slow in desktop

Your Internet speed is slow when connected to a Desktop and it is fast when connected to Laptop from the same router, It may Possible fault in the router you might need to reset the router, refer the router manual for the instructions.

After resetting the router if the same problem persists, may be the Lan connection speed is limited or the second connection to the WLAN is limited, you need to check the router settings and make some corrections.

If you are connecting the desktop throug LAN, there might be virus or trojans in the desktop, if any threats were there internet connection speed may reduced. If any ongoing downloads are there like torrent or any software updates check them in clear. Install a good Internet Security like Norton...etc.

Connect Internet to your Notebook using LAN and check for the Internet speed, you will come to know where the problem is desktop or Notebook.

Some routers have default settings to reduce the speed, Refer the router manual.

There's a problem with my laptop.Does it sound like a hardware problem or a software problem? details...?

One night, I left my computer on all night in standby mode, and when I turned it on there was a thin, flickering line at the top of the screen. The line alternated between the right side and the left side, and then disappeared completely after I turned the computer off and then back on. It has never happened since then, and it was a one time problem. Does this sound like a software problem or a hardware problem?

laptop monitor display problem
You have kept the your laptop in stand by mode for about 10 hour, It means that the Dispaly of your laptop may not stand on for long hours. After your turned of  the display Line was gone. It means that may be some jurk in the signals.

If you have any doubt regarding display make sure you  visit the Service center, expain the problem, they will explain the what's the issue is?

Don't always keep the laptop in standby mode, Enable Hibernation. Keep your laptop in Hibernation mode, That's better for your laptop.

It's not the problem of software, It's completely related to Hardware. It depends upon the which company's laptop you are using and how old the laptop is?

I too faced the same problem with my laptop, I just opened my laptop and just cleaned with my blower. Display was corrected automatically. I don't know exactly what I did with the laptop.

Is Avast free virus good enough to get rid of any kind of Virus and other for a Laptop?

After running Avast freeware I found no Virus on computer or anything. Seems like once a month though the computer acts up and I have to redo everything. Can a Virus or anything like that be in a computer but not on or in the hard drive? Can a Virus or whatever be in the Bios?

Avast free antivirus, has the limited features, which I have observed alot. In a situation the avast antivirus not detected any virus. After I uninstalled the Avast and Installed the Norton Antivirus Trial. Updated virus definitions, Scanned the whole computer and shocked by seeing the scanned results. It had detected about 150 infected files (tojans/viruses/rootkits).

As there are many infected files, I am thinking that why Avast did not. I checked the features that which provided by the Avast and compared with Norton Antivirus features. It's totally different. We need to check the details and features of the programme before buying or downloading.

Avast can also detect all these infections. but you need to Buy the Full version. Check the picture below.

avast comparison

If you buy the Avast 7 Internet Security, It will detects the virus/trojans/rootkits. If you can afford you can buy

How can i get rid of this Virus?

So I figured there is a virus on my computer from my previous post. >http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20130209165927AAWEfgL How do I get rid of it? Every time I try to go on avast my computer blue screens and it has to restart...

internet browser crashed
The problem which I have faced many times. This happens due to some advertisements or programmes installs automatically, when you click on any Ad. In other way if you are trying to download the songs from a website, some ads seems to same like as you need to click on download button some ads keeps appearing with download button. Mistakenly we will kick on the download button (in which the download button related to Ad) automatically the software is downloaded and installs into system and browser and after sometime it crashes automatically.

There is option to remove these kinds of unnecessary softwares. go to control panel find the unnecessary software or find the software which you didn't installed and select the programmes uninstall them.

Goto your browser settings, Reset all the browser settings, make sure that some browsers don't have this option you many need to follow the help guide. If not done clearly uninstall the browser and install the same.

If you connected to Internet don't install the anti virus, Install the Internet security. That is best option for you. Try Internet security features by installing a Trial software from Norton. Update the virus definitions and scan the whole systems. Beware of Ad wares and Mal wares.

I have forgotten my password for wireless router..help!?

When we moved, everything got misplaced. We could not find our wireless router so we decided to buy a modem. Now we have found the router, we have set it up by ourselves(seems to be working), but we've forgotten the password for it and now we can't use it. How do we reset or change the password? Our router's name or manufacturer is called : NETGEAR,  My computer is a HP

enter password
If you have forgotten the router's password no need to worry, All the devices has the reset button. Check the router devices for reset button or some devices has to be reset with Pin.

Just reset with a Pin and router or the modem will be restarted automatically, you should configure it correctly. If you are an advanced user you can configure router as you wish. If you don't know about router, please refer router manuals, so you can get clear idea about the router.

And one more thing is assign a password to the router which is difficult to guess and If you are using Wifi router dont forget to assign a WPA/WPA2/WEP key to gain access to wifi. If you forgot or not maintain a Wifi password, any one can access the your internet.

If you facing any problem with router, contact the NET GEAR technical support. They will guide you further.

Virus problems scanner cannot pick it up (Advanced)?

So I have a virus in my Program data Files (somewhere) I have ran Avg 2013 and SuperAntiSpyWare but they cannot pick it up. Now I know that I have one because my hard drive had 60 GB left and now it only has 6 GB now I have a feeling if leave it for too long its going to ruin my Hard Drive so what Can I do ? I believe it is very harmful please Help!

threats and infections

You have already scanned with Super Antispyware and AVG 2013, well I too faced the same problem. Installed AVG free edition, it does not detected the virus and I have done one thing, I uninstalled the AVG free edition, Installed Norton Internet security trial version. This one detected the virus and trojans and removed them aswell.

Unistall the AVG 2013 and Install the Norton internet security and run the full system scan. If can afford you can buy one and If your system is infected, virus slows down your computer and it does not allow the programmes to run.

Just format your C drive and Install the OS after Install the Norton Internet Security and run a full system scan. It's better to buy full version, enjoy the full features of the product.

Problem connecting to internet after deleting a program?

Ok, so I didn't have enough memory on my computer so I had to delete some things. I though I had some kind of virus I downloaded so I started deleting programs. (stupid I know) I ended up deleting a program that kind of looked like a crab? It said something about disk or whatever. I don't remember anything more than that, but after my laptop kept saying something wasn't plugged in and the internet wasn't working because of it, but on this computer the internet works just fine and the box says it is working. Did I delete a program needed to access the internet? How can I get it back? I already tired to do a recovery but no dates were saved so it wouldn't let me. Please anything at all would make me feel much better. And the sooner the better cause I'm really freaking out.

delete browsers

So you have deleted the program, means that you have deleted .exe files. This means that exe plays a major role in here. Better get to know which program you have deleted and you mentioned that you have enough memory on you computer may be you do not have enough memory in RAM or harddisk.

Dont you have any antivirus? Better install a good internet security softwares like Norton or Mcafee. One option is there to get your files back which you have deleted. Go to safemode, while booting press F8 and selected safe mode. You will be asked do a system restore press "No" and selected system check point or if a program installed or uninstalled you they create a system restore point.

Better choose system restore point and press next, your system restores to that point how it will be at that point of time.

Hope you problem will be solved.
