Couple of days ago, I inserted a flash drive on my laptop which turned out to contain viruses. By viruses I mean it has this "files" named Porn, Secret, Passwords, and Sexy. They have the same icons.
I'm assuming they're viruses because every time I insert a removable drive on my laptop they ALL contain the same "files". So I guess my laptop became a virus spreader? Lol.
Along with these files is another one named "autorun.inf" that can't be deleted. The files and folders on every removable drive I install become applications or shortcuts which has the same icon as the viruses.
My antivirus seems to not help at all. It's ESET antivirus.
ESET antivirus which I used so many times, tried full versions also, but nothing satisfied me in the detection or cleaning of threats. The virus is dangerous it's automatically creates the shortcut and hides the original files and displays the duplicate files in the form exe files. But beware that don't double click on the icons or shortcut. If you format the pendrive or delete them it's automatically copied again to the pen drive.
Better do one thing that download the Avast free edition latest version, update the virus definition and register the antivirus by connecting to Internet. You will get the one year license for free. scan the whole computer I assure that it will clean the virus. If the problem persists download the Norton Internet Security Trial version from Symantec website, It will clean the whole system.
After doing all these things don't insert the USB drive into your PC. Insert by holding Ctrl+Alt+Shft and Insert the USB drive. To avoid autoplay you need to do this. Just format the USB drive, That's it it will be cleaned.
